We work improve the quality of life in neurodivergent people through uplifting of the community, public outreach programs, and education on neurodivergence in the community, school, professional, and healthcare environments. We aim to uplift and amplify the voices of the neurodivergent community.
We are committed to staying rooted in the neurodivergent community and listening to their needs. Our organization is, and will always be, majority led by neurodivergent-affirming people with neurodivergent people in mind. The needs of the community will be listened to and acted upon as appropriate and as we are able.
All people are created equally regardless of their identities. Thrive Divergently strives to treat all people not only equally, but equitably, ensuring that all people have what they need, not just a one-size-fits-all solution.
Every action taken by Thrive Divergently should work toward earning and maintaining trust within the neurodivergent community and the communities in which we operate. Trust is not freely given, it is earned. We understand that and want to earn trust by serving others in the highest capacity possible.
Thrive Divergently celebrates the neurodiversity of human society, and as such, we use identity-first language; however, every person's preference is their own and will be respected.
While our operational focus is support and affirmation, we are also unequivocally opposed to all forms of bigotry, dehumanization, and hate. We condemn in the strongest possible terms ableism, racism, xenophobia, sexism, ageism, classism, and eugenics.
It means the summation of our mission and our core values as expressed through our conduct. Being neurodivergent does not preclude thriving in a full life. With access to the necessary resources, guidance, and support, we believe that it's possible for anyone to thrive. Since there is no one-size-fits all solution for every neurodivergent person, uplifting the voices of the community will help us all find the things we need to thrive in the ways that make us different—or, in other words, to thrive as divergently as we need to!
